Plot and Synopsis
Netflix’s Spaceman is a sci-fi movie that is based on the novel “Spaceman in Bohemia,” which represents the story of a fictional astronaut’s eight-month journey to investigate the mysterious Chopra space cloud above Earth. He was raised by his grandparents in the Czech countryside after being discarded as a young boy.
SUMMARY
This movie has many storylines following Jakub’s struggles with the failure of his marriage. Jakub encounters depression, but the arrival of Hanuš, who pursues understanding humans better, leads to the astronaut face the memories of his past that have led him to this difficult spot.
His father was killed for being a Communist informant, so his family name was disgraced. That’s why he was focused on succeeding as an astronaut so he could clear his family name.
In the end, Jakub enters the Chopra cloud and saves Hanuš. And he gains knowledge that the cloud is the beginning and end of all time in the universe. It helped him surrender his selfish ways and realize that his true desire was to be with his wife.
